Perhaps one of Manila's most enduring charms is the beautiful sunset across Manila Bay. On a clear day, the red orange burst of color across the horizon from Roxas Blvd (Dewey Blvd in the American colonial days and some years after that until nationalist sentiment prompted a change in the famous thoroughfare's name) is simply marvelous. It serves as very fitting backdrop to families enjoying their time together, or for lovers' most romantic (but not so intimate, OK?) pursuits.

Watching the bright of the day slowly transform into vibrant yellows and oranges and then fade into reds with the shimmering distortion of the colours reflecting off the water is magnificent. There are some things you just cannot get enough of, the Manila Bay sunset is one of them.
